Do you do anything special for the start of Sunday School in September? Do you have a Rally Day? Or Homecoming Sunday? Any special early fall traditions?

Rally Day at Good Shepherd is a big deal - the current confirmation students escort the new students in during the opening hymn. Somewhere during the service the new students are blessed - a variety of prayers and signs of the cross - on forehead, lips, hands, shoulders, etc. Then, most years, we have some kind of bbq afterwards. With our new musician, there may be a children's choir as well.
This usually happens the first Sunday after labor day and then SS begins the following Sunday.
